TNI 5.1.5: Windows 11 Readiness Checker and Pie Charts

Are computers on your network ready for the new Windows 11?

Come, on October 5, 2021, Microsoft is releasing their new operating system, which may not be suitable for for all of your computers.

Workstations must meet these requirements:

  • 1 (GHz) on a compatible 64-bit processor;
  • At least 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage;
  • UEFI and secure boot compatible;
  • Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0;
  • DirectX 12 compatible graphics card.

In this TNI update, we have prepared a special report named “Windows 11 Ready”, which will quickly get you up to speed on how easily your network can migrate to Windows 11. Some computers will already be ready, some will require tweaking (for example, switching to UEFI boot mode), while others will even need a hardware upgrade.

Pie charts

The “Group Summary” section now offers informativepie charts:

  • Online status;
  • Types of devices;
  • Operating Systems;
  • Manufacturers and models;
  • Virtualization and Alerts.

Summary now looks more modern, and for those who still prefer the old style, the text summary was left untouched.

SAM improvements

We also tidied up the Software accounting section. Now, a large number of identical software that has slight differences in names and versions is automatically combined into one collection. In some cases, this has shortened the software list by a quarter. Moreover, any software installations can be hidden from view. Following their introduction in SAM, software icons will also be shown in the Common reports section, replacing the old and uniform CD icon.

The complete list of changes is available in the Total Network Inventory, as well as on our website.

That is all for today, however, the upcoming TNI update is already being developed and tested. So see you soon!

P.S. And don’t forget to update your licenses 😊
