Email Won't WORK

I'm trying to set up alerts and email. This is the error i get, i have made sure that the passwords and username are correct towards the server but still no access. When i test the alert this is the message i get.

530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first > this is the error i get, any help would be greatful

The SMTP server you are trying to use seems to require secure authentication. TNM does not support this yet. You should use an SMTP server that supports plaintext authentication (for example, GMail is not the choice in this case).

My business uses GMail. When will secure authentication be supported?
